Slice the onions. Cut the potatoes and carrots into dice/big pieces. Chop the green chillies. Cut the beans into 1/2 inch pieces. Cut the Paneer into cubes.
Put the Poppy seeds, Melon Seeds, Cashew nuts and Almonds in hot water and let it soak for 30 minutes. Grind it into a smooth paste.
Put some butter in a heavy-bottomed pan. Add green cardamom, mace, bay leaf, peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon stick to it.*
Once it crackles, add the sliced onions and cook it till it becomes light-golden brown. Now add Ginger-Garlic Paste and cook till the raw taste goes away.
Add Chopped Green Chillies, Turmeric and Chilli Powder and mix it well.
Now add Curd and the smooth Seeds-Nuts Paste and mix well.
Once this starts boiling, add the veggies ,1/2 cup water and let it cook for 10-15 minutes.
Then add the Paneer and let it cook for another 5 minutes.
Add some cream on the top(optional).
Few things to keep in mind
Instead of soaking the seeds-nuts in hot water, you can boil it for 10 minutes , let it cool and then grind it.
