Cinnamon Rolls

I found this really interesting cinnamon rolls recipe that you can make without using eggs and yeast. I made some changes in the recipe while making it though, like I used Margarine instead of Butter, and used less sugar in the whole recipe. These are amazing desserts that you can enjoy after a good meal or along with your cup of  tea.

This recipe has 3 parts-
  • The Sheet
  • The filling
  • The topping

Ingredients (For the Sheet)-

  1. Flour- 2 1/4 cup
  2. Granulated White Sugar-2 tbsp
  3. Baking soda- 1 tbsp
  4. Margarine- 6 tbsp
  5. Salt- 1 tsp
  6. Milk-1/2 cup

Recipe-

  1. Gather all the ingredients.
  2. Cream the margarine.
  3. In a bowl, add flour, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt.
  4. Add margarine to it and mix.
  5. Slowly add milk and make a soft dough.
  6. Dust some flour if you feel the dough is very soft.
  7. Dust some flour in a bowl, place the dough, cover it and let it rest for 30 minutes.
  8. Dust some flour again on the counter/table. Take out the dough, make a punch and knead it again.
  9. Using a rolling pin,  roll it into a rectangle.

For the Topping

You can make a Cream Cheese Frosting for the top or make a Buttercream icing like I did.
I made the Buttercream Icing using Cream, Icing Sugar, Vanilla Essence and a little bit of milk.I whisked the Cream till it was smooth and then slowly added the other ingredients.

Please see-

  1. You can use butter instead of Margarine too.
  2. If you are using Margarine, you can cream it using your palm.
  3. These cinnamon rolls can stay for about a week when stored in an airtight container.
